Hello, my name is Chloe. I love to
dance, sing and entertain. I love reading, math and art. I love
shopping, dressing up and doing “girly” things. I love cats, dogs and
especially monkeys.
I never knew what a brain tumor was until
November 7, 2006. After going to the doctor one day and having my
first MRI, I found out that I had one. The doctors said that they
could not take it out with surgery. I saw many doctors and tried
different medicines, but nothing made my tumor go away. During the
year after my diagnosis, I went through 31 radiation treatments, 8
MRIs, two months of a phase I study, one month of chemotherapy, a whole
lot of doctor visits and more blood draws than I can keep track of.
Although I wasn’t able to beat this tumor, I hope that the doctors will
find a way to help other kids beat this tumor. In my last year, I was
able to meet many wonderful people and know that they will continue to
fight in my honor. I will live on through their journey to find a cure
and to help other families like mine.
Love, Chloe
